Do I need an account? — No. Story Leaf works without any registration and collects no personal information.
Does it work offline? — Yes. Downloaded books, narration, and the dictionary all work offline.
Where do the books come from? — From openly licensed collections (CC BY). See Licenses & credits.
How is my reading level decided? — From your own feedback after finishing each book ("too easy" … "too hard"). Reading easier books again is a normal part of extensive reading.
