How do I change the film simulation?
Tap the film badge at the top of the camera screen, or open Settings → Film, to browse and select from the available film profiles.
How do I save the unfiltered original photo along with the filtered one?
Open Settings and turn on "Save original." Both the filtered photo and the unedited original will be saved to your photo library.
How do I add a date stamp to my photos?
Open Settings and turn on "Date stamp." Every photo you take afterward will include the current date burned into the image.
Does the app add location data to my photos?
Only if you grant location permission when prompted. You can review or revoke this anytime in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Retro Camera 1960.
Why do I see ads in the app?
Ads support continued development of the app. All ads are requested as non-personalized — the app does not request tracking permission and does not build an advertising profile of you.

This policy explains what data Retro Camera 1960 ("the app") collects and how it is used. The app is developed and published as an independent iOS app.
Photos
Photos you capture are processed and saved directly to your device's photo library. The app does not upload your photos to any server, and we do not have access to them.
Location data
If you grant location permission, the app embeds GPS coordinates into the photo's EXIF metadata at the time of capture, for your own reference. This location data stays in the photo file on your device and is not transmitted to us. You can disable location access at any time in iOS Settings.
Advertising
The app displays banner ads using Google's Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob). All ad requests are configured as non-personalized, and the app does not show the App Tracking Transparency prompt or use your device's advertising identifier for tracking. Google's SDK may still process limited technical data — such as a device identifier, coarse (approximate) location, and diagnostic data — to serve and measure non-personalized ads and to keep the SDK functioning correctly. This processing is governed by Google's own policies:
Data we do not collect
We do not operate any backend server for this app, and we do not collect account information, contact lists, or usage analytics beyond what is described above.
Children's privacy
The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
